Our apprentices proved their skills for a good cause!
The vocational secondary school “Berufsbildende Schule II” in Osterode hosted a benefit gala dinner on 13.01.2015 for the third time. This time money was raised for the café for girls “Kratzbürste” in Bad Lauterberg represented this year by equal opportunities representative Inge Holzigel and by Renate Wirth who has been a mentor at the café. Apprentices from different areas within the gastronomy industry had prepared a lot this night to show what they have learned so far – our hotel´s apprentices proved their skills as well!
The evening started with a delicious cocktail reception in the school´s foyer. The first event highlight was the drama group´s dancing and singing show just before the guests sat down at the beautifully set table. The motto of the evening was “The Four Seasons”. The four-course menu started with a lovingly presented and delicious scallop for the “amuse guile”. Between the different courses the guests were able to enjoy the young artists from the drama group performing. The perfect combination of singing, dancing and acting was well-received by the guests and met with applause. Responsible for the great costumes, hair and make-up were the students from the body care vocational college. At the end of the event all people involved introduced their company where they´re doing their apprenticeships. We could tell that the four-hour-long gala event went very well since the guests already promised us: “We will be here again next time!”
We are proud of you Mr. Kaplan & Ms. Petzold! Keep it up!
