Here you will find answers to frequent questions from our guests and all kinds of interesting facts about the Hotel Panoramic in Bad Lauterberg in the Harz Mountains. When can I check in / When do I have to check out?

The apartments are available from 16:00 on the day of arrival and until 10:00 on the day of departure.
You are welcome to book an early arrival from 11:00 am or a late departure until 4:00 pm as an additional service, subject to availability. Please contact us!

Can I use the swimming pool before check-in or after check-out until the end of the day?

Our swimming pool as well as the sauna area are at your disposal on the day of arrival before the apartment is ready for occupancy as well as on the day of departure after check-out, as the check-in times or check-out times are only valid for the use of the apartment.

Should we pay a deposit?

For the binding booking a deposit of 20% is required, the balance is to be paid upon arrival.

What means of payment are accepted at the hotel?

In addition to cash, we also accept EC card, Maestro, Master and Visa card.

Sind Haustiere gestattet?

Pets are allowed in the Economy Apartments and in selected Superior Family Hotel rooms for an extra charge and upon request, please notify us when booking. The owners are liable for their animal. Dogs are to be handled in such a way that they do not harass or endanger other guests. Pets are not allowed in our restaurants, wellness areas and in the Comfort category and Superior Apartments. For your pet without bowl and food we charge you additionally 13,00 € per pet/night.

Are there non-smoking flats?

A healthy sleep and rest begins in a healthy environment and therefore smoking is prohibited in all apartments and public areas. Smoking is allowed on the balconies. Please use the ashtrays provided.

Where can I get a hotel flyer?

Under the menu item“Our hotel => house brochure” you will find our hotel brochure as well as our offer flyers conveniently as a download. We will also be happy to send you information material by mail.

Are there also single/double rooms?

We are an aparthotel and have only spacious apartments. These are also available for single travelers or couples.

Is there free WLAN in the hotel?

In the hotel lobby as well as in the apartments and rooms we offer free W-LAN.

Is there a safe or secure storage facility?

Please deposit your valuables in the hotel safe, which is available free of charge. The hotel assumes no liability for cash and valuables lost in the apartment.

Is the hotel handicapped accessible?

Our aparthotel is not barrier-free.

Is there a car park at the hotel?

There is free parking directly at the hotel and within walking distance of about 300 meters.

Can I reserve a parking space?

It is not possible to reserve a parking space.

How long is reception open?

The reception is manned 24 hours for you and is happy to help and advise you.

What leisure activities does your family hotel offer?

Child-friendly environment and child-friendly staff, children’s playground at the house, mini golf course, table tennis room, game room, billiards, table soccer, child-friendly food, children’s buffet, professional child care in the “Beaver Club” for children from 3 years, face painting, children’s disco*, magic show*, torch and lantern walk*, weather-independent games in the playroom, games and books to borrow (available at the reception), babysitting (partly for a fee and after advance reservation) *seasonal

Are there bicycles in the house?

No, but you can rent bikes in Bad Lauterberg at “Zweirad Busche”. You can store your bicycles in a lockable bicycle garage.

Does the hotel have a washing machine?

For your laundry there is a laundromat with washing machines and dryers. Washing tabs and coins for this purpose are available at the reception for a fee.

How do the comfort apartments differ from the standard apartments?

The room layout is determined by twin or family designation. Both variants are available in Economy and Comfort versions. Compared to the economy apartments, the comfort apartments have been renovated in recent years.

How big are the apartments?

Our apartments have a size of 48 m². You can find the different room layouts under the menu item “Rooms & Prices“.

Do the apartments have a balcony?

Yes, all apartments have their own balcony (seasonally furnished).

How is the kitchen in the apartment equipped?

Our apartment kitchens are equipped with cooking and eating utensils, refrigerator, oven with stove, kettle and coffee maker. You can borrow a toaster at the reception (subject to availability).

Is there a hairdryer in the apartment?

You are welcome to borrow a hairdryer free of charge at the reception – while stocks last!

Are there offers for breakfast, half board or all-inclusive?

Yes, you can on the one hand after the apartment selection still other additional offers, such as the half board plus book online. Or choose directly one of the attractive packages, in which various catering services are already included.

Can I also book my desired catering on site?

Our restaurant capacity is limited. We therefore recommend that you book your desired catering services in advance.

I have booked all-inclusive, when do the services start?

The entitlement to the all-inclusive services begins at 16:00 on the day of arrival and ends at 10:00 after breakfast on the day of departure. Wearing wristbands is essential.

Is it possible to have breakfast / dinner at your hotel without staying overnight?

Yes, of course you can dine and drink in our restaurants and bars even without an overnight stay. For a table reservation we are at your disposal by phone.

Is there a change of towels and bed linen in the hotel?

As an apartment hotel, we hand over the apartments ready for occupancy incl. Laundry initial equipment and only after your departure we will clean them. If you need fresh towels or bed linen, you can of course change them at the reception for a fee. If you wish an intermediate cleaning or a daily cleaning, please let the reception know. For more information about prices, please contact our reception staff.

Final cleaning is not included for all apartments. This is charged per apartment per stay of € 45.00. For the Superior XXL family apartment there is a final cleaning fee of 90,00 €.

What does the initial laundry equipment include?

The initial equipment includes per person bed linen, a shower towel and a towel and a shower mat.

Can I borrow a bathrobe?

Fluffy rental bathrobes (adults – universal size XL, children’s bathrobes in size 140) are available for a fee at the reception (subject to availability).

Do you provide baby cribs?

Child-friendly equipment is a matter of course at our family hotel. We have extensive children’s and family equipment ready for you. These are available for our younger guests for a small fee. Please specify the desired children’s items already with your reservation. So you can fully enjoy your well-deserved family vacation with baby and toddler. (while stocks last and by appointment)

We are always eager to fulfill your every wish. Please specify your preferences when booking, especially if you have food intolerances and require special foods.

Is there a hotel shuttle, e.g. to the nearest train station?

Unfortunately, there is no shuttle service offered. Our colleagues on site will of course call a cab for you at any time.

Is there a bread roll service for the apartments?

You are welcome to buy fresh bread rolls in the hotel in the morning – without pre-order.

What are Hexentaler?

The Hexentaler are our loyalty points, which have an equivalent value in euros.

How can I register for the bonus program?

To register as a regular guest in the bonus program area, registration is required, if not already done.

What advantages do I have by registering for the bonus program?

You can convert your Hexentaler into a voucher and redeem it for bookings made directly through the hotel or also the homepage.
In the login area you will get lower rates for selected packages and offers than on our regular homepage.

What do I get Hexentaler for?

You collect Hexentaler through your free registration in the bonus program, through recommendation to friends, family & acquaintances as well as for stays in our hotel.

I have booked my trip through a tour operator, can I still redeem Hexentaler on site?

Unfortunately, the redemption is then not possible. You can redeem your Hexentaler only for bookings made directly through the hotel or also the homepage.

How can I redeem my Hexentaler?

Please log in to the bonus program with your access data. There you can book the current discounted regular guest packages or create a voucher.

What is the maximum number of Hexentaler I can redeem?

For a stay of 3 nights or more you can redeem up to 30,00 €, for a stay of 5 nights or more you can redeem up to 50,00 €.

Can I have the Hexentaler paid out to me?

Redemption in cash is not possible. Any remaining balance of a voucher created will expire upon departure.

I have received a newsletter with the regular guest packages, how can I book these?

Please log in to the bonus program with your access data. There you can book the current discounted regular guest packages.

Can I redeem additional Hexentaler in addition to my booked regular guest package?

The Hexentaler cannot be combined with other discount promotions, not with the regular guest packages and not with other vouchers.

Can you give the Hexentaler as a gift?

You are welcome to pass on the Hexentaler in the form of a voucher.
Recommend our house to your friends and acquaintances in your log-in area and secure more valuable Hexentaler!

Will my Hexentaler expire?

The witch talers expire after 2 years. The Hexentaler, which we give you annually for your birthday, expire after one year.

Winter vacation in the Harz Mountains

  • Do we need winter tires or snow chains?
  • Can we hire sledges at the hotel?
  • Where are the nearest opportunities for cross-country skiing, alpine skiing or tobogganing?
Do we need winter tires or snow chains?

Since December 4, 2010, it has been mandatory in Germany to drive with tires suitable for slush, slippery snow, black ice, frost or ice. Suitable tires are those that are marked M + S or have a snowflake symbol – this applies to both winter and all-season tires.

There is no general obligation to use snow chains in the Upper Harz, but it happens again and again that roads at higher elevations – such as the B4 from Bad Harzburg or Braunlage at Torfhaus – may only be driven on with snow chains. Basically, however, you should never set out without proper winter gear. Otherwise, the trip can be over sooner than you think – in the worst case, before your dream vacation has even begun.

Can we hire sledges at the hotel?

You are welcome to rent wooden sledges at the hotel, subject to availability. For more information about prices, please contact our reception staff.

Where are the nearest opportunities for cross-country skiing, alpine skiing or tobogganing?

In winter, the access to the 47 km long cross-country skiing trail network Südharz, a 200-300 m long ski slope with drag lift and a toboggan run at Heibek and many cleared winter hiking trails in Bad Lauterberg provide variety.

Larger winter sports areas are located, for example, in Braunlage or St. Andreasberg, both places can be reached by car in about 20 minutes.
